he Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss the planned reconstruction of WIS 22 between 13th Street and WIS 156/Green Tree Road in Clintonville.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Clintonville Community Center, 30 South Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The meeting will follow an open house format.
The pavement on WIS 22 has reached the end of its service life. The proposed project will reconstruct the roadway and modify the intersection of WIS 22 and WIS 156/Green Tree Road. Additional improvements include replacing curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer and street lighting. The city of Clintonville also plans to replace the city water main and sanitary sewer systems as part of this project.
The objective of the December 11 meeting is to provide the public with updated information regarding proposed improvements, right of way needs, and acquisitions. WisDOT is also seeking input on proposed traffic management strategies during construction.
Construction on this section of WIS 22 (between 13th Street and WIS 156/Green Tree Road) is currently scheduled for 2017, but may occur as early as 2016. The planned improvements require that crews close the highway during construction. During the closure, traffic will be detoured via 7th Street, N. Lyons Street, E. 12th Street, SSGT Warren Hansen Drive and WIS 156.
Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter at the meeting may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh (715) 421-8380, email@example.com) at least three working days prior to the meeting.
