Badger Basketball is all the buzz as Wisconsin prepares to hit the hardwood Saturday evening in Indianapolis. If you’re gearing up to hit the road for the NCAA Final Four Championships, be ready for plenty of company. Three of the four tournament teams are from universities within a five hour drive of Indianapolis. Factor in the Easter weekend travel period and there will be a large amount of traffic on the regional Interstate Systems.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is working with the Illinois and Indiana Departments of Transportation to remind Badger fans to plan ahead and be prepared for possible traffic delays or backups in work zones. Some Interstate lane restrictions will be in place. Be watchful for work zone signs and electronic message boards with important travel information.
Be an informed and educated driver by using the travel information resources provided through the Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana DOTs.
