Origin of Fire: Fire was found in rear apartment and extended to rear storage area.

Injuries: 1 civilian was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

Additional Information: The 1001 club was not open for business when the fire started. The business was a Bar/Restaurant. Smoke damage was sustained throughout the building.
The building itself was built in 1905. It had been renovated multiple times and had several additions. This made firefighting difficult with hidden void spaces and a challenging layout.

Additional Information: GBMFD fire units and hazmat unit called for a CNG semi tractor leaking natural gas into the building. Packerland Ave between Century Rd and Larson road was closed for approximately 6 hours as crews had to remove three semi tractors and off gas a large amount of CNG from the third unit. Three businesses were evacuated during the process.

Incident Description: Fire in a bedroom of a single family home. Green Bay Metro Fire department was called at 02:11 for a structure fire with smoke and flames showing. Fire was quickly extinguished by fire department personnel. Red Cross is finding temporary lodging for the occupants.

Cause of Fire:  Under investigation by Fire Marshal’s Office

Origin of Fire:  Mattress

Estimated Dollar Loss: $5000

Injuries: No injuries

Number of People Displaced: Three adults and two dogs.
