Wausau Structure Fire 10-3-17

Wausau Fire Crews were paged for a structure at 1021 Macintosh Street fire the call came in at 10:34AM Tuesday. Battalion Chief Allan Antolik said upon units arrival heavy fire was showing from the back of the structure. No Injuries were reported and the person home at the time of was able to exit safely . Wausau Fire Department was assisted by Wausau Police Department WPS was also on scene.

Township of Larrabee Wi House Fire 9-23-17

A home is a total loss after a fire Saturday Morning at 11343 Buckbee Road in the Township of Larrabee around 9:30 a.m.

Fire Crews From: Marion, Clintonville, Embarrass, Bear Creek, Town of Grant and Pella fire departments responded to the scene.

Kronenwetter House Fire 9-14-17

A house fire was resported at the area of 2300 Sunny Meadow Drive in the Village of Kronenwetter.

No one was home at the time of the fire. A dog was reported to be rescued.
Heavy smoke and flames near the garage area of the home, Smoke could be seen from as far away as D.C. Everest High School.

Witness on scene says they heard an explosion the cause of the fire is still unknown and being investigated.

No injuries were reported.

Multiple departments including Kronenwetter fire and police, Mosinee fire, Riverside fire, Everest Metro police and Marathon County Sheriff responded to the scene.

Town of Maine (Marathon County) Fire Marathon County 9-10-17

A fire broke out at a recidents on 44th Ave Town of Maine. multiple structures and a wood pile could be seen burning along with a transformer and utiliy pole. WPS was on scene.

Multiple departments responded including Town of Maine, City of Wausau, WPS and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.

No information on injuries.

Wausau House Fire 8-18-1

Wausau Fire Department was called for a reported upstairs apartment on fire at 406 7th  Street near the East Side of Wausau.

Flames could be seen coming out of an upstairs window. Animals needed to be rescued from the blaze unknown how many or the condition.  No injuries were reported.

No cause at this time Wausau Fire Marshall is being brought in.

2 Vehicle Accident 6th & Wausau Ave. 8-15-17

Rescue Crews were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident Tuesday Afternoon 6th and Wausau Ave.. Upon arrival units found one vehicle on its side. Bystanders at the scene say one person was loaded into an ambulance. No other information available at this time.

Marathon County Landfill Fire 7-30-17

Crews were fighting a fire at the Marathon County Landfill in the Town of Ringle Sunday Early Evening. They were actively fighting a fire in the landfill itself.

 

Wittenburg, City of Wausau Tender (Tanker), Birnamwood, Maine, Edgar, Kronenwettter, Ringle, Easton, SAFER and Hatley fire departments responded to the call. Salvation Army was also on scene assisting with Water for the emergency personnel.

 

Chris Kielman Ringle Fire Chief tells reporters the fire department has responded multiple times to the landfill nothing recently. Chief Kielman says when units arrived on scene the fire was approx. 100 x 100. No injuries were reported. Chief Kielman says crews will be on scene for several more hours making sure of no flair ups.

 

Marathon County Solid Waste Department Director Meleesa Johnson says No cause will be determined speculation is Hot Coals from the grill or Cell Phone Batteries, Johnson says just because your phone battery is not able to power your cell phones but “JUICE” is still enough to get HOT from the sun and start a fire. Johnson has her crews spreading trash away as fire fighters spray the area down with water. Johnson says no equipment was damaged. Lastly Johnson wants to Thank Everyone Who called into report the smoke because with out them it could have been a lot worse not only to the landfill but the neighboring area.
