Bear Creek Barn Fire 4-14-15

Bear Creek Fire Department was paged Tuesday afternoon N7488 Highway 45 township of Lebanon. Once on scene Bear Creek pulled a Mabas Box 3-2 to the Box level. Bear Creek, New London, Manawa, Clintonville & Shiocton Fire Departments Bear Creek First Responders Responded. No word on injuries.

New London School Bus Accident Highway 54

Highway 54 is now back open west of New London after a crash involving a school bus and car.

New London Ambulance / First Responders / Fire were paged around 7:15AM Tuesday Morning. A vehicle rear-ended a bus while the bus was stopped.
Theda-Star Medical Helicopter was called in but no other information is being released on the driver of the vehicle condition.

Wolf River Rescue 3-21-15

Members of the New London Fire Department rescued a teenaged boy at 6:40 p.m. Friday, March 20. According to rescue workers at the scene the boy was trying to cross an ice dam near the Pearl Street dam on the Wolf River when the ice broke. A current carried the the boy downstream toward the Shawano Street bridge where an attempt was made to rescue him by dropping a life jacket on a rope. The current was too fast for the boy to hold onto the life jacket without falling into the river. Rescue workers and neighbors came out on boats and pulled the boy to safety.

Waupaca County Sheriff Arrest Three Individuals In Drug Investigation

WAUPACA – Attorney General J.B. VanHollen and Waupaca County Sheriff Brad Hardel have announced sheriff’s office investigators and special agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force members, as well as New London Police Department and Clintonville Police Department, have arrested three individuals as part of a multi-jurisdictional marijuana trafficking investigation, which has been ongoing for the last several months.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2014, DCI special agents, Sheriff’s office SWAT team and investigators executed search warrants at two residences in the rural Clintonville area. The residences located on Behnke Road resulted in the recovery of over 56 pounds of harvested marijuana plants and many harvested marijuana buds found drying in outbuildings on the property. Additional stalks of recently harvested plants were found, along with computers digital media, cellular telephones, drug paraphernalia and related documents.

The Marijuana has an estimated street value in excess of $140,000.00.

As a result of the search warrants, the following individuals were arrested and booked into the Waupaca County Jail with charges pending:
Allan J. Schubert, of Clintonville, DOB 10/21/1961
Lynn M. Koszuta, of Clintonville, DOB 11/04/1966
Thomas C. Boldig, of Clintonville, DOB 01/21/1963

Tentative charges could include Manufacture/Delivery THC(>10,000g), Possession With Intent to Deliver THC (>10,000g), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Maintain Drug Trafficking Place. Further information will be made available through the filing of criminal complaints by the Waupaca County District Attorney.

Defendants enjoy the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.

New London 8 Apartment Complex Fire

New London Fire crews were called to an 8 Apartment complex on Wallace Street just after 1:00PM on Saturday Fire crews were able to knock the fire down before it spread. It is unknown how much damage was done.. No injuries were reported
